Product Description
If the labor saving features of the “Texas Hoist” let you make one (1) additional service call per week, it will pay for itself five (5) times in the first year alone!
The “Texas Hoist” is a series of electric winch powered hoists with applications for Chevrolet/GMC and Ford Cargo Vans, and many of the very popular van bodies, including the Knapeheide KUV, the Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter, and the new Ram Promaster. We recently added a side door application for the Ram Promaster. The hoist is conservatively rated at 500 pounds and is coupled with a 3,000 pound rated winch. Reduced operator fatigue means more calls per day.
Not included is the wiring needed between the the winch leads and the battery or power point. The proper wire size is a critical safety issue for the proper installation of this winch.
Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Installed this hoist in the back of a 3500 freightliner sprinter van used for service and repair plumbing work. I use this to load / unload 375 lbs. sewer machine, water heaters, etc. Love the hoist! It takes a load off the back!
Install was straight forward and I was able to mount it alone in about 3 hrs. It has a surprisingly compact foot print! I did not have to move anything that was already mounted in the back of the van. Single piece boom design is simple and rugged. This hoist will be on all company trucks from now on.
The only complaint which takes this down to 4 stars is the remote for the winch. The hoist I received was furnished with a superwinch UT3000. The remote has a cheesy in / out switch that broke after 3 uses. I contacted superwinch direct and they are sending a new remote and relay box. I feel the only real solution is to find a two way switch I like and wire it myself. I wish the remote was heavier duty, especially for the kind of abuse it must withstand in the back of a work truck.
